New dimensions of logistics... The system manages fully automated Distaribution Centers that undertake the execution of the orders of an e-shop. The input of orders, the update of ;expected order files; (ASN) via Internet and Extranet, the capacity to monitor the progress of the order and the stock via the Internet that is provided to authorized users, as well as the capacity to monitor, in a specialized way, returns, constitute some of its main features. e-aberon is the information system that allows exchange of information and data regarding the supply chain via the Internet. ![]() The main types of transacting parties served by e-aberon are: Depositor: The term ;depositor; regards the company of a company group that is served by the distribution center(s) and is the owner of the stock. In case of a 3rd party logistics company, the depositor is the client of the 3rd party logistics company that offers agreed storage and distribution services. Client: The client is the client of a company or a company belonging to a company group or, in case of 3rd party logistics, the client of a depositor. For each person transacting with the distribution center, its user, user name and passwork are set in aberon. Depending on the transacting party type, the e-aberon application displays a different menu to the user. Order Recording in e-aberon The company's clients or partners are able to log in and to record online (via the Internet) an order in the e-aberon system and to execute interactive services with it. e-aberon checks the availability of stocks, the clients' particularities, the available packaging per client (based on limitations set by the client), checks the FEFO –FIFO and other special agreements with the client, as well as the client's credit worthiness (an output of the ERP system). The company's client or partner answers interactively to questions made by the e-aberon system, such as: The item does not exist, would you like to replace it with an alternative one? The quantity you requested is not available, should I keep a backorder? The order cannot be routed on the date required, etc. Upon completion of the above procedure and the interaction with the company's client or partner, the order is validated and sent to aberon WMS for execution. Thus, the orders that have been recorded online and have passed all reviews are displayed in the warehouse movement–distribution office of the company and the competent operator selects the scenario that will execute the orders. For example, some of the most known Picking methods are cited: Picking by zone, by order, aggregate, Pick & Pack and others. ![]()
The company's clients or partners are able to check the orders' status. The option displays a list of the orders by date, as well as the status of each order, which is ;pending;, ;in progress; or ;completed;. As a default option, the application displays all ;pending; and ;in progress; orders irrespective of the delivery date, as well as the ;completed; orders of the current date. The user may, alternatively, set a date range and the system shall display the orders and their status for the specific time period. If the user selects an order from the list, the system shall display the breakdown of the items of the order selected. Finally, the user may receive reports regarding the user's transactions with the company.
Traceability The user is able to receive information from the e-aberon system regarding the traceability of selected references or lots per order consignment date.
