In the current supply chain management environment, warehouse is a link having many more requirements that those of a storage space. A company's success is currently based, to a great extent, on the timely and error-free satisfaction of the clients' needs, a requirement that cannot be met by companies that are based on conventional tewarehouse management systems and on manual procedures.
The companies that are able to cover their clients' needs rapidly, without errors and at a low cost, acquire a significant competitive advantage in their industry.
The key to acquire such a competitive advantage is flexible IT systems for Warehouse Management that automate all supply chain processes.

aberon WMS is a flexible Warehouse and Distribution Management Information System and constitutes the main body of the solutions provided by OPTIMUM for managing and optimizing the supply chain.

aberon WMS is friendly, easy-to-use, flexible and modular, in order to be perfectly adapted to each client's special needs.
aberon WMS can be used to manage, in the same effective way, the whole range of warehouse activities, from warehouses using wireless terminals to fully automated distribution centers using pick-by-light, carrousels, sorters, automatic stacker cranes, goods-to-man systems etc.

aberon WMS, based on its leading-edge technologies and the pluralism of its operational processes, is able to be perfectly adapted to the particular requirements of the company's supply chain.
Its design is friendly and modular so that it can be perfectly adjusted to each customer's different needs.

INTERFACE with other Systems

aberon WMS provides continuous supervision of the information and materials' flow in every link of the supply chain – production, receipt, storage, picking of orders, loading and delivery of the orders to the clients.

Management of Incomings
Management of Incomings is responsible for identifying, marking and receiving incoming materials (final products, semi-finals, raw materials) in the warehouse and their preparation for storage. The incomings management network supports all operations regarding preparation of receipt, barcode management of the Logistics units, management of expected incomings files (ASN), control of quantities received, standardization of storage units, as well as cross docking.
aberon, using the wireless technology and the barcode technology, achieves fast and error-free receipt of products or materials in the warehouse.
A structural element of the Management of Incomings is the capacity to certify the quality of the items received through parametrically set quality control schemes that lead to the total or partial acceptance of the materials or their rejection.
The Management of Incomings operations include: Management of the items received from production, management of returns and cross docking.

Order - Movement Management
The main mission of a Warehouse or a Distribution Center is to accurately process the orders by making, at the same time, rational use of the available warehouse resources (employees – machinery). Aberon WMS manages effectively all needs of preparing and picking orders, such as order data entering, order processing, inventory blocking, order grouping, load and packaging budget and order pre-routing.
A main feature of aberon WMS is the maintenance of the products' freshmess (FIFO-FEFO) and the traceability management. The system supports all order picking types and methods, such as picking per order, per customer group, per loading wave, per delivery service, on an agregate basis, per picking zone, per lot or based on a special designation etc.
Order picking via the aberon is made using wireless terminals, carton labels, coupons, picking lists, pick-by-light or pick-cart systems able to consolidate weighing devices.

aberon effectively manages products or materials of special requirements, such as complex items, items to be weighed, products having many dimensions (colour, size), items with production lots and internal lots and items with serial numbers.

The picking is performed at any level of the Logistics hierarchical units (e.g. palette, carton, package, item).
aberon WMS issues automatically and forwards picking orders to the users' wireless terminals by taking into account the orders and delivery services' priorities, the special requirements of each picking zone, and the available warehouse resources, by minimizing, at the same time, the picking time and the pickers' movements in the warehouse.

Internal Movements
The storage - settlement of the items in the warehouse is responsible for transfering the storage units received to the appropriate warehouse zones and places. Aberon WMS, through special algorithms, issues and forwards storage orders to the wireless terminals of the operators, by combining effectively the items' characteristics with the storage zones and places' characteristics, with a view to better exploit the storage space and to minimize the storage work.
Using barcode technologies and wireless networks, aberon achieves exact and quick transfer of the materials to the storage positions.
aberon WMS manages replenishments of the picking positions from the storage places via multiple replenishment scenarios, set by parameters, such as, e.g., quantities' replenishment based on orders executed, replenishment based on minimum quantity of the picking place or replenishment by order.
aberon WMS supports all types of storage systems (e.g. stowage on the ground, back-to-back, Drive-In, Life Storage, Push Back, ports) and provides the user with the capacity to make a tour in the warehouse using virtual reality.

Consignment Management
aberon's consignment management ensures compliance of the order's consignment with the client's particular requirements relevant to the packaging, palletization, consignment unit marking, packing lists, delivery time, issue of accompanying documents, transportation means etc.
aberon supports item packaging in multiple depths of cartons through Pick-and-Pack wireless terminals or at fixed packing stations.
The packing process supports item weighing via connection of aberon WMS with weighing devices.
Upon completion of the packing, the Trading-Accounting Application is informed to issue the vouchers and to send the order to the client.

Inventories
aberon supports all kinds of inventories, such as global inventory, circular inventory, partial inventory, inventory per item, inventory per geographical region or post group etc.
The inventory is performed via wireless terminals that ensure the accuracy of the stock in the warehouse

Wireless Network Management
aberon coordinates and optimizes the works in the warehouse by creating work commands that are sent at real time to the wireless terminals of the forklifts and the pedestrian operators.
It allows the Distribution Center officers to monitor the performance rates of the warehouse resources (employees, equipment) and enables them to draw correct budget and report of all works.

Interface with other systems
aberon allows two-way and real time communication with external software and hardware systems, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, wireless networks, weighing machines, automatic load transfer and retraction systems, conveyor belts, sorters, pick-by-light systems, pick-carts etc.

aberon records in detail all commands and processes, contributing to the identification of errors and the extraction of statistics helping Management to take proper decisions.

Full Coverage of Needs
A great variety of sub-systems (add-ons or modules) can be integrated in the main body of aberon WMS.

aberon WMS's modular structure enables you to select and combine the standardized sub-systems available in order to implement specialized solutions fully covering your needs.
